Rock and Roll

So here it is, the first project. My worldwide web smashing of a champagne bottle on the hull of my new blog.

This is the beginning of some wall decor. Tonight I'm painting the two 8" x 24" canvases, and will tackle the three, 8" x 8" canvases tomorrow. I printed six, 8" x 8" pictures from our wedding to eventually mount on these canvases and they came out great (thanks Bay Photo!). I'm going with a bamboo color for the canvases. Only the sides should be visible, but since the color scheme in our family room is going to be red, orange, yellow, and brown, I wanted a little more neutral of a color to tone down the brightness of the panels.



The two long canvases will go between these panels I threw together with some killer garage sale fabric and two sets of 12" x 12" frames nailed together (just cut from a single piece of cedar from the fencing section at Lowe's).
